Advanced Conjuring for The UnNamed Magus – S:P:D:F Invocation & The 5 Tier Steps of Ascension

✩✩✩JJR✩✩✩_(@Jaii_Raph)_Twitter_-_2015-04-07_08.54.39

Merry Meet and Blessed Be,

Members have asked for a review of safe higher order casting of shift, beyond sight. This will be such a review for the Mabon and upcoming Samhain ritual for the closing shift. The following will be an edited transcript from my presentation at Coven-Meet, January of 2015. It is funny explaining things as I understand them.

Because I try to always rewrite in my own terms to make sure I know what I am saying, rather than just sound like I know what I am saying. Many of the people who get the highest grades, or positions of moderate acclaim, merely learn the buzz words, and the order in which they go; and since they are saying the right thing, and in the right way – they can never be corrected.

However, far too seldom does this style of learning lead to understanding.

Glossing Over Before Crossing Over: Pedagogy of Alchemy

Naturally, a revision of some underlying high order casting concepts are required for this level of silent invoking power practice. It is common to quip these days that “we are all just energy” – but what does this really mean? By the end of this presentation I will have made this vapid statement lucid and clear to all initiates, whose dues are paid up in full.

Without the historical alchemical exploration, but not wanting to gloss over too much as “assumed knowledge for the adept” either; I have decided to focus on where, in my humble experience, “glossing over” occurs in much of the main stream. This results in rote learning where, though people say the right things in the correct order, so as to never be corrected; so to do they all too often never really understand. Where they gloss over things is the progression of higher shelf energy levels. Without even a vague explanation beyond formula, eg with electrons it goes 2; 8; 18; 32 – but why?

I do understand formulae as description – but how can I trust that they do, if there is no translational element to their dialogical stonewalled dialectic? And I am reasonably sure it is just laws of physics observed. That is to say larger space means more distance for charge to separate naturally to the comfortable distance equilibrium. Meaning, therefore, higher subs have more orbitals because there is just literally more room.

And “higher” energy because the outer subs, at full energy, have more orbital space cf lower shells. And “2” electrons on a given orbital just because that is how it seems to go: observation wise, anyway, from experiment by extension, and mathematically for equilibrium reasoning. But, naturally, we know that this won’t really likely be the case under scrutiny. Certainly not the whole story.

Protons won’t always be situated symmetrically, for example. Order is far more interactive. Constructed. And it is their force, the protons in this case, that in many ways directly define the shell; the manifest properties on interaction; and the shell sphere field shape. There is omitted information that, perhaps, is not truly “missing”.

They are almost certainly not really spheres, for a start. Not really orbits either. I mean, we are talking about a non static mutable energy field. And when you get to electrons popping in and out of existence, or theories that postulate there is only one electron in the whole of existence, as some kind of uni-entity that traverses dimensions we don’t directly deal with – it does make exams from rote learning more difficult to justify. Creative papers which demonstrate personal understanding is surely where assessment should trend; but that is a digression too far.

Electron Clouds – The Mind

This can be counter intuitive. I have never understood why electrons are referred to as discrete units, ie single electrons. Probably something akin to voltage without resistance, but in my classes it was simply never taught. The nucleus. The rings – useless.

Calling Your Cloud

It is preferable to think of them as cloud field energy levels at shell super position potentialities – but chemistry doesn’t need me making up terms, it is pretty established as a science. And doing quite well for itself, on this plane. I don’t  think many would argue against that, on the whole. And good on it. We lose nothing in being pleased for it. But there must be a mastery of personal knowingness for a conjuring of this level. Which is why we are discouraging the use of this level of character world influence altogether.

If you do not know enough that you have no cause to read this warning: you best not be attempting this level of fabric manipulation in the first place. The fact you have been brought here at all and are reading this right now likely means you needed to be warned. Asked to be warned. However, no matter what is recommended; some will always try to swim where their feet can not touch the bottom. It is only out of concern for them, that any guidance is to be provided at all.

The greatest danger is that there are doubtless some who are ready enough to begin, advanced enough to find this article, for example, advanced enough to get into trouble – but no where near ready to delicately master all repercussions, which are brought with them on entry. It is for this reason any who have found this article will hopefully find better mastery, at least for withdrawal and mitigation if they notice tides turning when at the steps.

The hope is that mitigation will be such that the overall hedonic tone of the aethric community, also touching the threads, will remain more or less in tact. Towards this end, and with great trepidation, further instructional information for this conjuring is provided below.

Shadow Shell Negative Entity Awareness

✩✩✩JJR✩✩✩_(@Jaii_Raph)_Twitter_-_2015-04-07_08.54.13

In some form or another, this is what you will see. There is an abstract shadow* set of infinite spheres within spheres that surround a focal nucleus. (*shadow ie “present only in absence” – only when it is being accessed and utilised: a genuine negative entity). Theses spheres within spheres (shells) represent the principal energy level for an orbit space, before energy must move to a higher plane orbit (eg jump to a higher shell sphere). Think of these as the energy power level orbit shell potentials, represented in the negative; which is essentially what they are. The cascade shift occurs here.

For such a massive undertaking – this is why resonant dispositional forces are used in a summoning, and then directed; rather than generated (as would be the case for local current congruent enhancing or dispersion enchanting). See, though capable of being interpreted as a oneness – in application, the energy orbit is not one cloud together; but rather a cluster in set numbers (energy levels) to orbit in different spheric spaces within sphere spaces (“shells” comprised of “subs” or “spheres within spheres”).

A Warning: What One Best Watch Out For

The Intrinsic Names

Do not deal with personified patterns as a rule. But know the generic architecture. There is a middle ground of the already named. At this level – you best be doing the naming. However, in initial vision there is trace intrinsic naming to be aware of in casting at the steps. Sometimes they are just called “shell” or “orbit” by ordinal rank: 1, 2, 3 ect, which tells you the number of subs. Not “king”, not “arch duke” not “arch angel” – this is dangerous, and you will risk losing yourself and coming back lost, bringing chaos, which you have enchanted in binding, with you. Technically a successful conjuring: only with no real command of what you have done, or what parts of your youness  did what.

Nothing where ordination is obscured is welcome. You do the naming, or withdraw to a silent, but powerfully focused, meditation as soon as the abhorrent pattern is observed – and preferably before it is engaged – and certainly before a resonance meditation is anchored. Now, this is important: at the steps, where only clear cast sight brings ordinal rank names, eg 1, 2, 3 ect, there is a firm ground for beginning a synch resonance anchor while leaning into a dispositional directional drifting guiding shift; slowly falling simultaneously.

Thus, you best know he astral aethric space as a sanctuary before hand. This is because, as mentioned above; though the steps will have the clear ordination, true enough, that is only a partial read. This, in turn engifts the Magus with a sight, granting near instant knowing of the likely power, subs, and negative shadow potentials there are available to work with – but it does not grant knowledge of spherical orbital hashes, nor locations, nor the energy capacity per orbital sphere. This has to be gleaned in real time during the slow fall conjuration.

It is also worthy of note that the aethric memory at the first step holds an oft reported intrinsic echo that is also a legitimate and stable starting point: ie the outermost shell is often sparked in vision, or named in form, as “reactive”. Additionally, “shelf 1” or “shell 1” is on occasion identified as “shell K”: and then it progresses in the ordinal procession of the Aramaic descendant alphabet from that point (ie L, M, N, O, P ect).

I have never encountered a reasoning for why this is. Often this kind of thing eventuates because it replaced a partial theory of knowing, one since passed into myth. Equally often, however, it is because the alchemist who discovered the dynamic had a mistress named “Kay“, or some such story. In this case, however, I do not know the origin – only that the legitimacy is a path trusted under tread.

Identifying The 5 Steps Of Ascension

At this stage, you will already be engaging the disposition shift synch resonance meditation. It is simply a measure of safety to be able to swiftly identify that you are at the base of the right astral steps, before you begin to ascend. The architecture of the steps will act as an internal astral signpost. What the Magus best be aware of, however, is that the architecture of the steps contain each other as you move along them. All one need remember is that the steps are constructions, bound and given form by their naming, and arising from their descriptions.

Commit this to memory: Each “shelf” defined by their “sub shells”; which are defined by their “orbital spheres”; which are defined by the maximum energy they can hold in their “sphere space”; which is defined by the maximum possible discrete energy unit representations they can hold in orbit; which is defined as a number (hash).

This simply means that a shelf is a collection of sub shells; where each sub has an apparently universally set number of orbital spheres (as negative potentials or “shadows”); and each orbital sphere has a set number of discrete power units it can hold. The sum of the subs’ principle energy unit hashes, in the requisite orbital spheres, correspond exactly to the total energy level potential of the over all shelf (for example; if shelf 2 holds energy units on 2 sub shells – it is still shelf 2 – though inclusive of shelf 1 and its sub(s); but separate to the higher tier shelf 3.

If the subs’ orbital spheres were at maximum energy, then new power units would move to a “higher energy level” or “state” – which is represented by the agent making contact with their personal higher shelf – in this case shelf 3 and its subs, and it’s subs’ orbital spheres, and any energy unit hashes there within. Thus, each higher shelf is inclusive of every shelf which has come before. It is the unit configuration, not maximum shadow potential, which is important. To merely work towards maximising power alone would almost certainly lead only to self destruction. The reasons for this will hopefully become clear in the next section.

Calling The Corners: The SFPD Invocation Focus

Google_Image_Result_for_www.angelfire.com_empire_serpentis666_AstarothSigil.gif_-_2015-04-07_07.32.00

Alchemy is known for an apparent focus on one element above all others. Though the truth of this representation is beyond the scope of this piece; the relevant names, and corresponding numbers, required for this conjuration become the letters “S”; “F”; “P”; and “D”.  As the first shelf on the steps of ascension contains only one sub shell, named “S”; and “S” contains only one orbital sphere; which can hold a maximum of 2 pure energy units: the total number of representative power, in the shadow, that the first shelf, on the first step, can have is *hash 2 (*written: #II).

The shelves’, subs’, orbital spheres’, pure energy level shadow maximums are also universally dictated. Shelf 2 contains two subs; these 2 subs contain one & three orbital spheres, respectively, which have a max energy level of 2 # each. Therefore, the total number of pure potential shadow energy that the second shelf can hold is 8#, because it includes the 2# from shelf 1 with its one sub, plus what shelf 2 can further hold at it’s higher tier – 2 # in each of the 3 orbital spheres (3×2=6) – within the one additional sub that is shelf tier 2. Shelf tier 1 plus shelf tier 2 = 8# pure power shadow potential, at maximum energy, before shelf tier 3 will be invoked.

Though, it is important to recall, energy does not need to be maximised at a tier for energy unit hashes to have the power to move to a higher level – this is why all of creation has a different pattern and property set.

~ Gold ~

As the alchemists among us will know; there exists energy conformation tree diagrams that adepts have discovered over the years. These diagrams list the energy shelf tier level, sub shells, and energy hash number for each orbital sphere, for each element known. The alchemists among us will also recognise the item below.

It is, of course, the the principal power level and associated energy diagram for gold: which I have written out long hand:

The electron configuration table for the element gold.

The first number is the shelf tier power level; the second letter is the sub shell named; and the exponent is the pure energy unit hash in the orbital sphere of each subordinate shell. So, as with all in the universe that we are easily able to label as “good” or with “high utility” properties; it is not the maximum possible, but the energy configuration pattern that is important to us. That is the key to energy shifting. That, in the case above, IS quite literally gold.

Gold exists by the energy units arranging across 6 energy power levels; on the sub shell walls named S, P, D and F; and the number of energy unit hashes in the specific orbital spheres of the requisite power level and subordinate shell. The shape of the energy. The signature. The life force energy pattern.

I suppose, you could say, when all things happen, energy exchange occurs. For example metal rusting or, at the more complex end, people aging (or dying): this is quite literally because the energy configuration has changed in the specified soul diagram, like the one for gold above. All we are, and will be, can be expressed as a  form of interchange with energy organisation at this level. The SPDF invocation is this, most potently amplified, for blank willed effect on an open to be influenced universal form; utilising an undirected dispositional force. Dispositional, but not drivern or organised. And this is the key. With no intentional stance, resonant will can be brought to bear in order to drive the disposition into active momentum towards the ends of the willing.

Concluding Remarks

Of course; the correct dispositional force need be selected; appropriately contacted; clearly resonated; driven to inspiration; and finally compelled into force of action. This can be dangerous for the adept skilled in only aspects of the requisite practice: particularly if one excels in one or two of the required abilities innately. This is as connection will synch, without proper controls. The agent, not the target set, will be seen and the agency will fall towards the practitioners world rather than be directed.

Or more correctly, it will be drawn as a form of undirected direction. Use synch resonance from the day of preparation, with the guide number hash sum, and your own personal birth number to inform the summoning if you feel you must proceed. But take heed of these warnings. A common criticism of such numerological and astrological techniques for self exploration in guidance is to refute ontic purity by asserting  the invention of the calendar as a proof of falsity, or, similarly, the absent stars, whose light still touched our birth, and noncentral location of Earth in the allness of isness. These disputes are of course folly – as their invention and existence are very real parts of our representational shared world construction. None the less, once again, we urge those not adept in the specific skill set to avoid this invocation. There is no entirely safe path to the powers.

Final Recommendations

When oscillating what presents as one’s aethric field for purpose; one may find benefit in feeding the personal focus aether through the solo electron dimensional space on a piggy-back wave. This is to bypass time and place psychological blocks – which will also, in turn, assist in the removal of physiological impedance: increasing goal congruant outcome influence at a distance. Experiment for yourself. That is the only way to be sure.

Further, if conjuring a known entity cluster, or force wave non personified, to draw an expected or common outcome probability slant into the performance space from a familiar greater resonance – call the conjuring name backwards in incantation.

This is for reasons of primal unconscious processing. Language and cortex are late comers to these systems, but they do have projection fibers which may impede and inhibit crucial resonant systems. The reason content neutral cognitive distraction tasks (like, say, counting backwards from one thousand in subtractions of 9, for example) are not indicated, is due to meditative focus concerns. Using the summoning name backwards, or in anagram, will have a greater likelihood of freeing up subcortical conjuring resources without moving away from goal congruence for association system cascade, but will still be resource intensive enough to minimise doubt or reasoning interference.

There is also benefit in naming the unnamed for this purpose if, and only if, a naming does not act as an impedance in conjuring in its own right. Remember to always be cautious not to reach into resonance fields if there is a risk of you being overwhelmed by a distinguished force imprintation –  self honesty of ability is the first and most crucial tool of the Magus. Know your local sphere first and progress outwards by honest intuitive reflection only.

The author holds no responsibility for injury sustained to mind, or persons, of inexperience or selfdishonest practitioners who stumble forward without awareness; rather than grapple forward with self owning knowledge of power, and novel exploration resources that are well honed.

Blessed be! May challenging and interesting, but safe, conjuring find the path of the seeker.

Malpractice & Child Abuse In Psychiatry (Reply: Early Onset Bipolar Medical Briefing)

cute pink hair blod
Arguably, among the biggest names in Bi-Polar Disorder (BiPD) research came together this year, for the 2014 “8th Annual Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation” medical briefing to discuss early-onset BiPD. (1)
.
They toted great success and, though admit much (*much) remains unknown, and that the tests for BiPD are clinical observation only “not a blood test” (1). None the less; the data somehow suggest diagnosis (?) and pretreatment before clinical observation is possible. Miraculous!
.
They further go on to express how the children they have recruited for their pretreatment study have all been uncharacteristically treatment compliant for BiPD – and it is expected either these kids will not develop BiPD or, if they do, that the pretreatment will have mitigated the disorder.
.
That is, either the treatment works, or else you just do not understand how bad it would have been – thank and pay them all the same.
.
The sideshow continues as we are regaled by a tale, expertly delivered, by the crying mother of a conspicuously absent child who, we are assured, had been horribly afflicted by BiPD, but was now living the fulfilling life style of a sales representative of some variety – employee of the month, or some such thing. All as irrelevant, as it was touching; if not more so.
.
And all thanks to this wonderful intervention program, despite him not being a candidate for it. Or taking part in it. That is one explanation.
.
However, a contrary explanation to elucidate most, if not all, of their study results is ready at hand. Try and follow me here: might it just be that the treatment group do not have BiPD at all, and were never going to develop it? That would explain a lot. But these are professionals, and what are the odds of that?
.
Well, I can tell you: the global lifetime prevalence for BiPD1 – 000.6% (2). That is right, serious disorder represents a fraction of a percent worldwide. The whole globe over. So, what does one say to such “research” as was presented today? How about “what a pile of irresponsible malpractice this pretreatment protocol appears to be?”. That might be a start.
.
 Literature and lecture summary:
.
Diagnosis
You are not sick. Even if you were, we wouldn’t really know what was going on. Or a lot of the time, again, if you even really were sick at all. And even say you had “something”, right; then sick with “what”  precisely, really we just . . .  *shrugs*. And even if we all agreed what was going on with the illness – well, we never know specifically, anymore than we do how treatments are suppose to work, but anyway – if we agreed on a name I mean – . . .
.
Pre-Treatment Protocol
. . . look, lets just get started with medications and interventions, that we also don’t understand (especially early in life or long-term), but for some of their horrible, potentially fatal, side effects – we know about those – um. . . hmmm. . . right-o, so, let’s just go ahead and get amongst it, yeah?
.
Rationale
(Psst, quickly now; while you still have no appreciable symptoms whatsoever, to treat a condition only diagnosable by the symptoms you are not yet showing, and may never show: and then we can run around declaring treatment success, sound good to you?)
.
And why not? It sounds very good indeed. If I may address the researchers directly: Hey, you have little choice but to back your own research, no one else will.
.
Can’t give the grant money back. It is pretty fool proof, as a scam. Though I, like any good Jewish lad, do hope you all end up in court. Good talk though. No patients saying it has helped them, sure. But good audio. Clear recording.
.
One of the highlights for me included the mother’s emotive portrait of possible “success” that her son had achieved (*for all she knows). Success was to be measured by a bland television criteria that doesn’t call on quality of life (*this patient was also absent, which was smart); and all this “success” in an already diagnosed case with standard care nothing to do with the research: and post psychotic break. Well fantastic, tell us more you miracle workers! It is like Christ has returned on Galen’s birthday, after stealing Hippocrates’ wallet, while  riding on Chiron’s back!
.
Then to fear-monger further, to children no less; children that almost certainly, by the sheer numbers, will not ever have BiPD – brilliant. To initiate pretreatment: and then act surprised they are doing fine? That treatment compliance is uncharacteristically good? Cycling not observable? Zero reported manic or hypo-manic progression? Well of course not!
.
You treated asymptomatic healthy children, who you scared into an unnecessary compliance regime that will DEFINITELY impact their life path, in exchange for a PLETHORA of, fingers-crossed, promised maybes. And then you seem to call that some kind of success? You don’t mean “medical success”, surely? Do you?!
.
Nice work. . . doctors?
.
Though, to be fair; I think you’ll have to agree that treating the healthy has always been that little bit easier than healing the sick.
.
I know research is hard. And the bad cases of BiPD are really bad – I know that too. But this is some, if not evil, at the very least particularly bad science.
.
Though you all spoke very clearly, I’ll give you that. The performances were good. Great even! Two words: “Broad” and “Way”.
.
But when you don’t know what you are treating. . . or what the drugs do across the life span (well, we both know some of the bad things, but you know what I mean). . .
.
And when the interventions do happen to “work”, with a patient who actually displays pathological maladies that ask for treatment intervention: it is still idiosyncratically “patchy”, with no agreed criteria for efficacy as to what “working” actually constitutes, even then. . .
.
AND we still don’t know why they even “work” in such a case, no matter which one (*each with a different mechanism) is used: it just begs asking. Treat the ill, absolutely; but is the case you present really cause to rush in and treat healthy youth?
.
What possible motivation?
.
We may never know. (3 , 5 , 6)
.
Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) is a maker of many BiPD treatment medications, as well as being a large funder of precisely this kind of medical research. I’m not saying that kind of thing could be related, that is just trivia. A lot of big companies do.
.
Interestingly, the resulting comparison trials see the drug made by the investor company out perform its competitors 9/10 time (3). For example, if GSK put up the cash, their drug works best, but if Phizer put up more cash: suddenly their drug starts working! Pharmacology sure is complex. But that is not why I mentioned GSK.
.
See, GSK also recently settled out of court for, yet another, sum of somewhere around ~$490 million; this time in China (4) . Only this case is a little bit different. Because it is only this time, I believe, that has seen two people involved in the scandal, not only drop a large pile of cash, but also end up seeing the inside of a jail cell (4, 5).
.
Again, it is probably not related.
.
However, should I turn out to be wrong, and this study does indeed reveal itself, in time, to be a similar situation to the one described above; there may be some skin in the game for all players. Because, money aside, when the long arm of the law reaches into the doctor’s clinic this time, it will be backed with a precedent of tough justice.
.
And international or not: I suspect a precedent like that would not be conducive for sound sleeping, were I involved in such research abuses. But you do not have to worry about it for one instant longer – because I’m not.
.
Distinguished dais – thank you for your presentation.

Now, sure: we all want to be ruler of the world. Without exception.

Show me someone who doesn’t want to rule the world and I’ll show you a self deceiving automaton. Seriously, I carry one in my wallet.

It is true though. There is no shame in it; it is part of being alive. As soon as you have needs or even desire you have an equal will to inversely impact the world, with preference, by at least that much. If there is a song you like, you want to hear it over a different song. You want to eat the food, get the girl, not be abused or poorly treated. You want to rule your world.

“Why can’t we all just get along” is enforcing your will on others. Or even the oh too personal “I just want to be left alone”. It doesn’t work like that, and we do ok for the most part. But we would all become Gods in a heartbeat if we were offered the power.

Detachment and a strong will can only do so much; in fact they are a type of ruling your world that proves my point that the desire to…anyway.

We all want to be safe. But personality disintegration: that is not going to lead to good information. If you are completely disassociated you may not even understand the questions, and some of these people never come back.

If tortures are designed to be so bad that people will say anything to make them stop, well that begs the question.

But where does that leave us? Well with the better techniques of culture respectful subtle psychological manipulation.

Matthew Alexander (pseudonym) outlines these techniques further in his work on How to Break a Terrorist.

After the pentagon released his manuscript (with a significant delay, causing him to miss the print date and ultimately only removing things in the public domain that he cut and pasted off the CIA webpage), he arranged a new print date and I’ve seen some lectures by him about the place as well. It is interesting.

Trained in all styles, like everyone else at Hogwarts espionage academy for Wizards and spies; his team DECIDED (ie by choice) to use psychology of culture and interaction to (more successfully) track down key al-Qaeda operatives.

I mean, do what ever you wanna do, you know. But there is really only so many times you can say to a torturer “I don’t know anything, I don’t know anything man I don’t know anything AHHHH” : before you are going to suddenly know something. And it is not going to be worthwhile.

And people say what about the ticking time bomb scenario?

I say ESPECIALLY in the ticking time bomb scenario. 1) What good is bad information when you have even less time to vet it? And 2) The enemy combatant only has to wait a tick and he’ll be dead anyway.

Science that is any good just takes time. I know, It sucks, but it is the case in every discipline.

Maybe there is merit in enemy combatants knowing there is torture and death involved (so if they have something to tell, they will more likely tell it quick).

But perhaps the science of, surgically applied, applied psychology will be of more use in a pinch then the “don’t make me make you tell me anything” approach.

Hitchens’ experience did have other features of the favoured biopsych techniques (sensory deprivation, strobing lights, cacophony). But you would be surprised what rapid changes temperature, uncomfortable posture and sensory distance, deprivation followed by sensory overload can do; especially in a schedule of unpredictable repetition.

Like the dripping bathroom tap where the drip just won’t drip in an appreciable rhythm. That probably isn’t the adequate comparison I was looking for. But do think of how much you want to kill that drip. It’s the same out of control “I don’t rule this world…I AM NOT SAFE” circuit. And it begins to fire over that.

Try and picture the full scenario. Be in it.

The experiments at McGill had people dissociated in minuets to a few hours. Hallucinating soon after. The lead research psychologist reported that within 48 hours subjects began to show signs of “complete personality breakdown”. Think about that. And this was just disorientation, sensory deprivation and cacophony. And at a university where you are not in any danger and you know what is going on. 2 days.

Section 2340 allows a lot more than both of these. When I dare to dream what could be done with pharmaceuticals; and that is just theorising about the ones that aren’t classified. Terrifying. But as I said, none of it sounds all that great. Could it be possible that torture is just…bad?

I’m not even going into Australian legislation or programs. Skim the “anti terror act” of 2005 and search for our bill of rights; that should keep you occupied till bed time. Actually, that’s what we should do instead of Easter bilby hunts: have children try and find the bill of rights in a chocolate Australian constitution.

Specifics start to matter less. This is the cynical part of this feature (lol oh THIS is the cynical part). Just assume it’s the same in every similar religion; and that its worse then you think. You’ll be closer to the mark from the get go.

Again, they don’t hide most of this stuff they just leave it in writing and that’s good enough. They make legislation into dissertations. Bills, which use to be 2 pages long, are suddenly coming out 1’000 pages long. This kind of thing. (Jokes on them; the 2 page system would have kept enough people in the dark by far. The fools! We’ll bleed them through ink Mubahaha!).

Anyways, as pointed out by Alfred McCoy (UWN), the photos from Abu Grebe are like pages out of a text book  (the first, no, second edition, let me go to my bookshelf…KUBARK, 1st). Actually there are lots of official handbooks for every branch of military intelligence, and every different agency; plus the updated versions. I have a few, but you could fill a bookshelf of just the current editions. My favourite title is “Human Resource Exploitation: A Training Manuel”. It is a title that speaks to the times.

Hitchins (Hero) allowed himself to be waterboarded to know the experience of legal “enhanced interrogation”. The officer refused at first saying waterboarding was for “Green Berets in training, or wiry young jihadists whose teeth can bite through the gristle of an old goat. It’s not for wheezing, paunchy scribblers.” Very caring, the military. Any military, that’s just across the board.

Before they began on the day they also double checked to make sure he didn’t have asthma (S.O.P. when waterboarding terrorists i’m sure). In the piece he wrote in Vanity Fair he jibes about whether or not he should tell them about the 15’000 odd *cigaretts a year he’s taken part in for the last x decades.

[*Devastatingly, he would in fact be dead in 2 years from smoking related cancer. And in interviews around this time, in hindsight, he does seem symptomatic and speaks of trouble being supine; even though he wasn’t diagnosed until it was upon him. But he did the waterboarding experiment anyway, cause he wanted to know. Twice. Hero.]

His conclusion regarding the whole experience was it doesn’t feign the sensation of drowning: when water is forced into your lungs against your will; that is drowning. By definition. It is just whether or not they stop and if they are monitoring your vitals with medical equipment to make sure they know when to stop (I’d say they usually aren’t). Here is a bit of his experience:

“I abruptly felt a slow cascade of water going up my nose …I held my breath… had to exhale and—as you might expect—inhale in turn. The inhalation brought the damp cloths tight against my nostrils, as if a huge, wet paw had been suddenly and annihilatingly clamped over my face. Unable to determine whether I was breathing in or out… sheer panic”

And, indeed, when people have died from the application of this technique they have drowned. That would be quite the convincing sensation. I’m sure there have been cardiac and neurological deaths as well. Saves a bullet. Hitchens added:

“Also, in case it’s of interest, I have since woken up trying to push the bedcovers off my face, and if I do anything that makes me short of breath I find myself clawing at the air with a horrible sensation of smothering and claustrophobia”

The torturer comforted him by saying “anytime is a long time when you are breathing water”.  Interestingly though, Hitchens swears he gave the predetermined signal to stop: the torturer said, himself surprised, that Hitchens had not.

Rather he had produced the “dead mans handle”, not an RPG item or Masonic handshake but the sign that unconsciousness had set in and he was drowning. Same as a dead man’s switch on an explosive device, but in reverse. (Like train handles so if the driver had a stroke the train would just stop. Basically his hand went limp).

This is all in the first 30 seconds. That is not much margin for error, but good to have such an attentive tormentor (with lawyer, paramedic and camera looking on: we should all be so lucky when they come for us. “BANG BANG: Ve are here to see a man about a blog…)”

There is no question a psychological component to any torture, including this one obviously. But the other techniques are as potent. And there is no one near you. In fact, that is kind of the point taken, to its extreme.

I am not really going to talk too much about MK-ULTRA or SH or Manchurian candidates and the like or the recent equivalents because [erased].

I’ll just repeat a recurring theme, because it is important in political research in general: – There is a big difference between “an important official spokesperson said” and actual reporting/investigative journalism from multiple sources.

Just as there is a difference between “conspiracy theory” and straight up “declassified”. You don’t even need common sense with those. No newspaper clippings, no eye witnesses who strangely have dementia now, no dots to connect. You would need to read it though. And ideally be able to read through black Nikko.

But beyond that, I figure you either know that stuff already or you’ll never know (and probably haven’t read this far). Yes, it’s the same people at the wrong place at the right time over and over, it’s not disputed. Yes, they join little groups, slap each other on the butt with paddles and promote each other. Don’t you find your friends jobs? Paddle them on occasion?

Yes, they topple governments on purpose (*a lot) to steal their stuff. And yes, they kill people at will and indiscriminately: they tell us as much. What are drone strikes? What is war for that matter.

(*But what is a lot?)

People will put up with anything and applaud for nothing. And vice versa. And I know how they feel. But I took a very different route to get here. That part I don’t understand.

Hitchens makes an interesting observation in “H22”  about how much respect you have for the badge and uniform of a police officer as a kid. “Protector”. “Friend”. And how the first time someone from the middle class gets kicked by a cop it’s one of those rare “moment(s) of truth”, where a reality about the world just falls into place without desire for epistemological inquiry. Just:

“Oh God what’s happening, why is this happening, ahhhhh, pepper spray, I’m a chick, I’m not doing anything, I called you! Ahhhhh! Stop your breaking my AHHHHH! Why are you spraying me and not even chasing th… ahhhh …phonebooks…”

They are not here to hug us.

And those of us who grew up under the community based model are going to get a bit of a shake up under a more intelligence lead paradigm.

Like Maslow says: If all you have is a hammer, everything suddenly looks like a nail.

And do you know why you can’t talk about, well, anything for the most part, with anyone? Why we watch football and the same episode of two and a half men day after day? You would think we would question for a while. At least at first, just after birth maybe, I mean wouldn’t you? Well, yeah, of course. And we do question. We learn apathy from our parents. Sometimes we break out for ourselves for a little bit in college, then become apathetic for ourselves over the lifespan and then teach that to our kids.

On occasion the “break out” part is missed (more and more) and people who have never read a book and never asked a question just pass that straight on to their kids with a beer and a football. I’m not saying either is right.

But you can’t just watch Michael Moore documentaries either. Every time someone says “look it up”; you have to look it up.

Usually they are both lying. And it is hard work to cross match everything, even without cover-ups. At some point (where I live) you don’t even want to talk to people unless you know they look into things with the same rigor as you. Because you don’t have time too look into it and won’t believe it before you do, so what would be the point?

Sensationalism is in videos, information is in writing. It’s good and bad. But it is a lot easier to work up a biography profile sketch of a claimant and skim a few documents by different authors then it is to skim a film. The smallest thing will still take all night though. And there are a lot of small things.

These things have been studied at leading universities for a very long time. Tried AND tested.

I just think the idea that “I didn’t even touch him” or euphemism like “stress positions” or “cacophony” is enough for people on the whole to back off and only focus on clumsy methods like “waterboarding”: which probably will be banned in a classic highballing switch (I hope they pay their psychologists well, they seem to be using them) because waterboarding is not on the list of perfected skills from the last half century of experiments.

They offer things up for sacrifice. If they ban waterboading, and then everything else appears at a glance to be tame by comparison, well alright. They do this kind of thing all the time.

If they finally give us gay marriage, look out…

These things are pacifiers. A false demand is created (or inflated, like with gay marriage); then blown out of proportion; then you are told you “NO! You CAN’T have it!” (This something arbitrary that you were getting on fine without. So you fight for it, it’s on every station; the radio on the way to work; every panel show; things get heated; a protest or two until… they give it to you! Then people are satiated. And they didn’t know it was missing.

It has a flash point: it just takes a few of the right news items to be picked up by the right people then boom! No maintenance required. And on conclusion, people still have opinions on both sides but no matter what, it feels good. It feels like something has got DONE, you know:

“Well, we did get this thing that wasn’t, at the end of the day, a massive big deal (until they told us it was) but we have had to fight long and hard for it, and we have it now so… VICTORY! The system works. But we can forget about getting anything else for a while, cause, want it or not, we just got that thing. The government is so progressive. The government is my friend.” Except a more kinda unconscious type dealio.

And controlling everyone with broad strokes is just the shallow end.

Torture Techniques: A Psychological Perspective

Hitch post water boarding

[1st Edition].

GIVE ME A PILLOW CASE, oven mits, some poster tubes, reverse cycle air conditioning, your favourite death metal song and one of those chairs we had to sit in during primary school; then come back in 48 hours and I’ll have them talking alright. I can do it, that isn’t the question. The question is whether what they will be saying will be worth a gosh darn.

Humans are dumb beasts, slaves to their machines. They are their machines. If I ask you to hold a hot coffee, just while I get my bus card out, when we first meet; you will like me more and won’t know why.

If your arousal is up from fear because I let my dog out (even though I know you have a phobia) and then after I put the dog outside I return and immediately feed you any mating cues: you’ll think you are attracted to me, outside of your normal mate sorting protocols. You may even get a fatalistic crush on me, depending on how I orchestrate it. “love at first sight” you’ll say. You “just knew” I was the one. Knew on the first date I’d be the one you would marry.

And all this without considering scripts, heuristics and schemata. There is so so much more; such that the only blessing becomes it is all but overwhelming to try and apply it all with intent. I mean, you’d need a team of people whose full time job it was to manage this stuff. It’d be like a real estate  agent, but with heaps more salesmen and multiple locations. Yep, you’d need whole agencies. I know, how Sci Fi.

Quickly, off the top of your head, how many script writers does a politician need to speak his mind and represent his constituents honestly? That’s a tiny example, obviously. But is it more than ‘0’? Because even that seems like probably too many. Well one could argue. One does.

And, of course, there are agencies of people devoted to these kinds of activities: more per 100’000 than ever before. And that’s not just America.

And you don’t have to study too much psychology before you start seeing this kind of thing being thrown at you, without your consent, everywhere you go (particularly from news programs, building designs and worst of all advertising). Anything replicated will be used. And anything we know of from say “the Gruen Report” for example is really only a fraction of what is really available.

[*NB It is claimed that Gruen tried to be distant from the research findings. Gruen did not want the discovered effects to carry the family name; citing ethical reasons for the decision. Didn’t work out I guess].

We (the literature) also know fairly consistently (when it can actually be verified) that certain interrogation techniques do not produce reliable information above chance.

People don’t tend to “break”: they either tell all at the first nail, don’t know anything or, tell you absolutely anything by the third nail. This concept has a reasonably high level of reflective face validity too, I think you’ll agree.

We do know that investigative and forensic psychological techniques work. But Psychological torture falls into the other “ripping your nails out” category. As such, so do the produced results.

But boy, torture wise, they do really do that trick surprisingly well. In fact, well enough to get all the same results: They even recruit Jihadists to the anti-western cause as well as any melted plastic skin ripping, electric clamp downstairs or pull your teeth out tactics.

And people become delusional very quickly and say anything to make it stop as well. Yep, just as good. Useless. But let’s have a debate about it.

Memory, Time Perception, ToM & Emotion in the Brain of the Early Meditator

Meditation Silver dude

Do you remember much of your childhood? I don’t really remember anything, possibly because I have been “in this moment” from age 10 – that is most of brain development & may have changed access to anything from [REDACTED] too.

If mindfulness meditation helps adults with formed brains relax under time stress; not feel time pressure; not access, at the very least, “bad” memories (but in this moment: All memories, really, if they are committed with all their will) – I mean isn’t that the sell? Why would they do it otherwise?

I was meditating without the Buddhist detachment elements probably from birth, in one form or another. Alone with my mother in the rainforest. As much as was age appropriate doing as she did. Following instruction & modelling.

Anyone who believes in neuroscience; believes in neuroplasticity; believes our youth impacts later life; & believes in meditation in adults: Is someone who should EXPECT these results in children. It is just the non-Pollyanna version of the same results.

They are probably the selfsame mechanisms being maintained by my “in the momentness” even now. & that is without even touching detachment.

Other possibilities are organic damage of some kind.

Or Loftus rich false memories being what “other” people report; & my memories are what healthy minds, who don’t spend every moment making up the past, look like.

You know I could run a cognitive battery on one of the adult mindfulness groups that are always here, in a repeated measures within groups study. Tack it on to anyone else’s research. Show they don’t feel time pressure & are “present” after the intensive mindfulness training, vs when they arrive at clinic – but then write it up as pathology not woo woo.

Of course there are consistent confounds like them all expecting positive results, wanting to be good mediators, liking their new group, & wanting to please the experimenter (among others) – but that is bio psych. Well, all science. & my write up is experimenter bias.

As is theirs. & selection bias in recruitment & publication.

I never did the drugs that impact memory, like alcohol and marijuana. Still don’t. Additionally, all the results from the other drug studies that implicate memory effects are from people who also smoke & drink anyway – poly drug use confound – drugs known to cause those effects alone (& even instantly, that night).

& you can’t publish positive drug papers (any more than you can negative meditation papers); so you know for sure they tried to find negative valance outcomes at every turn.

One thesis is as good as another.

Experimental philosophy. Psychology is more job ready, maybe . . . unless it is not of course. There are a lot of them, psychology majors. You can not spit without hitting one. Though I admit I do not particularly try to miss.

You know what I realised this morning – I should have paid for my degrees up front on credit card, got my 25% discount & then gone bankrupt. I would have been out by the time I graduated.

But you can’t discharge government debt.

And with interest, even 2%, my grandchildren will be effected by it. Forever. I can’t afford to study psychology after 2016 with a Liberal government.

It is just like in Africa where a guy is a slave because his great grandfather got lent $2 by a white guy one time.

Legit.
